This photograph shows Lowerhouse Lane, looking towards Rosegrove Lane, from Dugdale Bridge. On the left hand side, just over the bridge, is the Beulah Methodist Church, which was constructed in 1905. It was later Rosegrove Library. Many of the terraced houses that line the rest of the street were built at a similar time to house the workers of the ever-expanding railway yard and those who worked in the local cotton mills.
