This was the sign that was located over the door of the Royal Butterfly on Hufling Lane. Ronald Sparks was the landlord for a number of years and there is a link that will take you to a photograph of the interior of the pub where his wife is serving beer.

The image of the Bull underneath indicates the derivation of the pub's name. It was named after an award winning bull owned by the local Towneley family.
