General notes
A Dennis F12 pump escape (left) coming out of the side entrance with an HCB-Angus bodied Bedford TK (middle) and an AEC Mercury Turntable Ladder (right) parked next to the rear of the old Burnley fire station on Finsley Gate. The Dennis was nicknamed 'Tinkerbell'.

The fire station was built on this site (Manchester Road) c1854 and had many renovations made to it over the next century in order to accommodate the advances in technology. In the mid-1960's it was decided that a new facility was required and the fire service relocated to a new station on Belvedere Road.
