General notes
Queen's Hotel - Public house. Circa 1840. Grade II listed building 6 Apr 1979. Rendered with painted stone dressings and hipped artificial slate roof. A symmetrical composition of 3 storeys and 3 bays with chamfered quoins. Windows have stone surrounds. On the ground floor they are C20 casements imitating glazing bar sashes. On the 1st floor they have large panes of glass with casements over, and on the 2nd floor they are sashes with no glazing bars. On the ground and 1st floors the window surrounds have dentilled cornices, as does the central pilaster doorcase. No chimneys. The right-hand return wall, facing Queen Street, is treated similarly, but without cornices over the windows.
