General notes
This small row of shops was located between Bridge Street and Market Street. From left to right are Henry Atkinson's drapers, Cephas Pollitt's hatters, the Pemberton Brother's drapers, Peter Edward Roberts' drapers and Lawrence Crossley's fishmongers and fruiterers. During a redevelopment of the town centre in the 1960's all of these buildings were demolished.
