This view is taken in Dallam Tower Park. The Park was planted about the same time the present house Dallam Tower was built, and in a directory for 1885, was described has having a grove of fine oaks and abounds with deer.
Dallam Tower derives its name from the original building which stood on the site erected by William Thornburgh, from the ruins of an old tower. The present house was built around 1720 by Daniel Wilson but has been added to by successive owners. Although considered part of Milnthorpe, Dallam Tower is actually in the parish of Beetham.
