A double-decker tram on its way to Padiham passes over the bridge next to St. Peter's Church. The number 33 tram, picture here, was purchased by the corporation in 1903. It was originally a single-decked tram and the top deck with sides was added as part of an experiment and was known as the 'windshield' tram.
