General notes
The Habergham bus was operated by the 'Burnley Motor Pleasure Company' of Guy Street. The bus is a Critchley & Norris, with a 40 H.P. engine and with Knape bodywork.
The company provided tours and picnics for groups and parties, which covered huge distances for the time (1906). This included a 174 mile journey which led over hills and gradients, including a 1:5. The cost of these trips was a fraction over a Half Penny per mile, per person.
In this photograph, the bus can be seen with its passengers outside York Minster, which is 62 miles away from Burnley.
