General notes
Webster's Stores were located at the junction between Bridge Street and Bank Parade. Their property stood here for many years before they were demolished to make way for the Charter Walk Shopping Centre car park.
The street's name derives from an old bridge that once crossed the river Brun, connecting residents in the south of the settlement with the old King's Corn Mill that was located here (just to the left hand side) before it was destroyed by fire in 1820's. It was then replaced by a more modern steam powered mill.
