General notes
The altar at Accrington Road Methodist Chapel during Harvest Festival.

The first Methodist chapel in the Accrington Road area was Bartle Hills, which was built in 1849 and located on Cog Lane. However, by 1871 the building was deemed inadequate because of the growing congregation. Therefore, a new chapel was built on Accrington Road. A school was then added in 1874.
In 1961 Accrington Road merged with the Howard Street, after the closure of the later. This led to a change in name, and it became known as Westhill Methodist Chapel. It was forced to close in 1967 due to dry rot and was demolished in the same year. The services were moved to the church hall which was built only three years before. By 1971 attendances had dropped significantly and Westhill merged with the modern Parkside Chapel.
