General notes
In 1910 the Methodist Church bought the building and moved it from Moss Lane to Turpin Green Lane. The building was used as a social club and later by Balshaws school. The Traction Engine 'George V' was a Burrell 3215 owned by T Dandy & Sons, it was built in 1910 reg. no. TB3765. It was a 6HP single crank compound with rear suspension.
On the left can be seen the Wesleyan Chapel, to the right is the Police Station
