General notes
Scene showing Church Street before demolition of key buildings such as the White Horse Inn, the original Derby Arms and the cottages that ran at the west side of St. Bartholomew's Church. The area was cleared in the mid 1880s to make way for the Colne Co-op District Premises, which now stands on that site. Also shown is the original position of the gates. Original railings of the Church are also in place and just seen to the lower left of the picture is the 1st Kings head Inn.
