The Liberal Garden Party at Torside, Helmshore. Lewis Harcourt was born in 1853, became a Viscount in 1917 and died on 24th February 1922. He was known as "Lulu" and was Rossendale's 3rd longest serving M.P. between March 1904 and October 1917. Henry Tricket of Waterfoot was Mayor of Rossendale (1899-1902) and was the owner of Gaghills Mill, he was responsible for the building of Trickett's Arcade in Waterfoot.
