This is the old Brunshaw Methodist Church on Rimington Avenue. It was opened in 1957 and was the first new Methodist Church in the town for 40 years. The church closed in 1998 and was subsequently demolished and replaced with a newer, more purpose built structure at a cost of £190,000, which opened in 2002.
