General notes
The station was opened in 1882 by the West Lancashire Railway. It was also known as Preston Fishergate Hill Station. It closed to passengers in July 1900 whe WLR was taken over by Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway although it was used for passenger specials during the Guild weeks. It closed to goods traffic in Jan 1965. The building was demolished 1976.
