General notes

St. Paul's Church on Saunder Bank was opened on May 17th, 1853. A year earlier the foundation stone had been laid by General Scarlett. The Church was vacated in May 1961 as it was unsafe, it was later demolished in 1963. The adjoining building on the left of the church was a school.
