View looking East from the Golf Course to River Wyre Estuary and beyond to the Trough Of Bowland.
There has been a Fleetwood Golf Club since 1861, but this is the only true links course on the Fylde Coast, which was opened in 1932.
Although the Boating Lakes, Open Air Swimming Pool and the Pier are there, the Marine Hall was not to be built/opened till 1935. {located at the GIS Reference point}
On the Horizon is the Trough Of Bowland, now an "Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty".
