"This church was erected in 1904 to serve the residents of Ansdell and Fairhaven. Fairhaven, Pollux Gate, Cyprus Avenue and Miletas Place all take their names from St Paul's travels."

"St Paul's Church, Clifton Drive, Fairhaven, erected in 1904 at a cost of 8,215 pounds, is in the late perpendicular Gothic styled of architecture, and built of brick with stone facings and pillars. The plans provide for additional nave and side aisle, the building being incomplete. There are 485 sittings. The annual value of the benefice is S356, in the patronage of the trustees of J T Clifton Esq., and held by the Rev F Knight, BA."
