Shows the old sea wall and the landmark. The landmark wash demolished in 1929. This area later became the boating pool and the promenade.
Frederick Anyon was a local photographer, originally from Preston, who lived on Clarence Avenue, Cleveleys and died in 1944 aged 84. He married Mary Scholes and their son, also Frederick, became a well-known local journalist and local historian.
