Daniel Till's family were renowned for their musical skill. Mr. Till invented a "rock band" instrument, as shown. Miss Katie Pye of Gornall's Farm, Tarnbrook says that it was sold to an american museum after Mr. Till's death. - from an old newspaper cutting (source unknown). This type of instrument is known as a lithophone.
