The bridge was built in 1966 to connect the Arndale Centre to the Bus Station and Multi Story Car Park.
The Police Station is on the left top of the image. Beyond it is Railway Street and The Station Hotel.
In 2008 a new Bus/Rail interchange was build between these two.
