T Clark and Sons Saddlers, 4 Leeds Road, Nelson. Established in 1849, they provided equestrian equipment to stage coaches traveling from the new train station to Barrowford and Pendleside villages.
By the time of the photo, they sold mainly leather goods etc.
The District Bank can be seen on the left edge.
Demolished c1960 to make way for Arndale Centre. The Cooperative Quality Goods Store would stand on this spot by 1965.
