General notes

A church has been located on the site of St. Peters since at least 1100. The oldest part of the current church is the tower. Its foundations are probably Norman, but the tower itself dates from c1460. The main body of the church dates from c1533. Later south aisle was added in 1789, followed in 1802 by an extension to the tower. This photograph also shows the recently added porch (1889).
