Photograph shows a view of Bank Street looking towards Tup Bridge. John Myerscough & co Motor showroom repair shop can be seen on the left of the image below Martins Bank. It became the became Astoria Ballroom in 1932 and was demolished 1966 during town centre improvements and the building of St Mary's Way.The white building on the right was know as Malachi Fitzpatrick's Temperance Bar and Emporium, and remains one of the last surviving Temperance bars.
