This building still stands and is little changed from Buck's image. It is named locally as the Gamekeeper's Cottage or Lodge - it is designated as the "Lodge" on O.S. maps. It sits to the right of the road heading northwards, at the junction of the road and the track up to the Tower Plantations (although the road at this point runs almost due east to west). Beyond the Lodge, the road descends to Marshaw.
