W L Chapman Collection: Cottage tenanted by Mr. and Mrs. Stopforth. He was a boatman on Leeds/Liverpool canal and brought the first motor driven boat (called 'Tiber') from Riley Green. Boat was too big when it got to Top Lock, so had to fit a smaller bow.
