General notes

This War Memorial was erected by public subscription and unveiled by the Chaplain General on May 23rd, 1923. In 1918, the parish had raised £542.18s. Local concerts and band performances raised £27.6s. Further funds were raised by the local bands on the day peace was declared, which raised another £73.6.11d. It was renovated again in 1995 at a cost of £4000, and again in August 2009, at a cost £10,000.
