The original image was loaned to us by Mrs Barbara Danson of Lostock Hall in March 2012. It was in an album that was compiled by her uncle (who was also the photographer), Robert Thornley, after the Guild celebrations in 1952.

We think this is the part of the procession for St Saviour's church. Annie Birchall is looking towards the camera.
