The original image was loaned to us by Mrs Mary Jones of Longridge in April 2012. It was taken during the 1972 Guild and shows drama groups from around Preston taking part in one of the processions on Lancaster Road. The float was organised by Preston Drama Club but groups from across Preston took part. Mrs Jones appears in this picture in the gold velvet dress - her daughter is in the row in front wearing a similar dress.
