The original image was loaned to us by Mrs Margaret Peacock of Lostock Hall in March 2012. It was taken during the 1952 Guild and came from her aunt, Mary Martin.

This image shows Mrs Peacock's brother Kenneth Martin dressed up as a tree on his way to the Children's Festival Pageant in Avenham Park. The photograph was taken at St Saviour's School. You can see the chimney at Horrckses' mill in the background.
