The original image was loaned to us by Mrs J Molyneux of Lostock Hall in March 2012 and shows the float for Pius A Baines and Son (Preston) Ltd, joiners and contractors, of Paley Road, Preston.

Her father-in-law, Mr Harry Molyneux, worked for Baines and is on the lower part of the staircase which was built by the company.

The back of the photograph was stamped with the photographer's name - Frederick J Ball, 143 Friargate. We' haven't been able to trace the copyright holder for this image but we'd be pleased to hear from anyone with further information.
