The airship Hindenburg, German commercial passenger-carrying aircraft (registration D-LZ 129).
It was built by Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH in Friedrichshafen and operated by Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei. In service 4th March 1936 - 6th May 1937.
Burned down in 34 seconds while landing at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
The Hindenburg disaster closed a period of large passengers airships.
