Frank Lord's Aerial Photos
In Mr Lord's own words.........."Whilst flying myself during the 1950s I took a large number of colour photos with my Retina II 35mm camera, in all kinds of places and situations from Menai to the Lake District, The one place I totally ignored was Lytham St Annes - and I can't think why. ........on Sunday 25th April 2010 I put matters right."
Mr Lord was taken up in a Cesna 172 and taken on a 20 minute flight initially along the coastline from Blackpool airport past St Annes, Fairhaven and Lytham to the Ribble Estuary. The flight then came back to Blackpool airport covering some of the areas more inland.
Each photograph is accompanied by a description of the area covered and significant land marks.
